Haven't posted in a while, as Lotus Isle hasn't been doing much lately. We did play a few shows last month. One was at the Bite of Oregon, the other was at Pioneer Square, opening for The Motels. Which reminds me, I now play bass for The Motels! We had some great summer trips to the East Coast, California and Las Vegas. Got to play a show with Berlin, Flock of Seaguls, and Gene Loves Jezebel. Also got to do a Vegas gig opening for Dennis De Young, who used to be in Styx. Tripppppy.
I'm starting to work on the next Lotus Isle recording, which will hopefully be a full length release this time around. I've been upgrading my home studio, and hope to record and mix the entire thing myself. I may bring in Jeff Saltzman (who mixed the "bandmates EP") to rescue me if I find myself too far down the sonic Rabbit Hole.
I'm also about 1/3 of the way done tracking the new Michael Jodell album. Mikey is a member of Lotus Isle, and an incredible singer/songwriter in her own right. You should check her out here: www.myspace.com/michaeljodell if you haven't already.
Well, that's about all the news I have. Not sure if anyone even reads this thing. But at least it doubles as a band diary!
